The Nanchang Haiyan C (‘Sea Swallow’) was used by the People’s Republic of China for low level photo-reconnaissance. This particular aircraft was used to photo-map portions of the Great Wall of China with the intent of locating previously undiscovered portions. It is powered by the Chinese Housai, 345 hp, nine cylinder, supercharged radial engine capable of operating on 70 octane fuel or automobile gasoline. Also unique to the Haiyan C is that it carries 92 gallons of fuel, which gives this aircraft an in-flight endurance of over eight hours. Maximum speed is 230 mph. Cruise is 150 mph. It is the only Haiyan C in private hands in the world. Developed in Czechoslovakia as a jet trainer/attack aircraft the L-39 has seen worldwide success as the most popular jet trainer ever produced and has become a popular civilian jet warbird in the USA. It is a two place, single turbofan powered aircraft that replaced the L-29 in service. Over 2,800 L-39s are in service with over 30 air forces worldwide. Our aircraft is fully restored in a beautiful grey/white/grey camo paint scheme. LOCKHEED T-33 SHOOTING STAR - ACEMAKER AIRSHOWS The historic and much loved USAF Shooting Star is operated by Acemaker Airshows. Developed from the Lockheed P-80 Fighter, it is a two place, single turbojet training aircraft that swept the United States military into the jet age. The Shooting Star still serves several air forces around the world and attracts thousands of airshow fans. This aircraft is availible for aerobatic airshows as well as static display. BEECH C-45H EXPEDITOR - WARBIRDS WEST AIR MUSEUM The venrable Beech C-45 or D-18 in civilian use, saw one of the longest production runs in history. This aircraft is operated by Warbirds West Air Museum along with their North American T-28, Aero L-29 Delfin, T-34A Mentor and North American L-17A Navion. The C-45H Expeditor is a radial piston engine twin, carrying 6 passengers. When production ended in 1969 after 32 years, more than 7,000 Beech 18s had been built in 32 configuration.This Beechcraft C-45H was built in 1943 as an AT-7 Navigator, used in San Marcos, TX during WWII and rebuilt into a C-45H in 1951. Painted in U.S. Navy Manila Markings it is available for VIP rides, flybys and static display. WE HAVE THREE T-28s AVAILABLE ALL IN DIFFERENT MILITARY COLORS The North American T-28 Trojan was a radial piston engined military trainer aircraft used by the United States Air Force and United States Navy beginning in the 1950s. It replaced the North American T-6 Texan in service. Besides its use as a trainer, the T-28 was successfully employed as a Counter-insurgency (COIN) aircraft primarily in Vietnam. Undeniably the most successful homebuilt experimental aircraft in the world this RV was built over a period of two years in a home garage. The owner/builder will be on hand to answer questions and show off his expert workmanship to the many fans of the popular Vans RV aircraft. This all metal, single piston engine aircraft uses less than 8 gallons an hour of fuel and cruises at 160kts while employing a standard US aircraft engine. Cost to build was $73,000 and took two years of 40hr work weeks. WE HAVE TWO T-34s AVAILABLE BOTH IN DIFFERENT MILITARY COLORS The Beechcraft T-34 Mentor is a propeller-driven, single-engined, military trainer aircraft derived from the Beechcraft Model 35 Bonanza. The earlier versions of the T-34, dating from around the late 1940s to the 1950s, were piston-engined. These were eventually succeeded by the upgraded T-34C Turbo-Mentor, powered by a turboprop engine. The T-34 remains in service almost six decades after it was first designed. The PZL TS-11 Iskra (Polish for Spark ) is a Polish single turbojet trainer, used by the air forces of Poland and India. It is also the primary trainer for the Polish Army, the oldest jet plane still in service in Poland - and one of the most reliable. From 1969 TS-11s have been used by the Polish aerobatics team, initially called "Rombik", and currently "Biało-Czerwone Iskry" ("White-and-Red Iskras") and it is in these colors that our aircraft is painted. MIKOYAN - GUREVICH MiG 17 FRESCO One of the most famous aircraft of all time the Russian MiG 17 is a high-subsonic performance jet fighter aircraft produced in the USSR from 1952 and operated by numerous air forces in many variants. It is an advanced development of the very similar appearing MiG-15 of the Korean War, and was used as an effective threat against supersonic fighters of the United States in the Vietnam War. Twenty countries flew MiG-17s. The MiG-17 became a standard fighter in all Warsaw Pact countries in the late 1950s and early 1960s. They were also bought by many other countries, mainly in Africa and Asia , that were neutrally aligned or allied with the USSR. The MiG-17 still flies today in the air forces of Angola, Mali, Mozambique, North Korea, Sudan and Tanzania. |
